The Island, located in the heart of Surfers Paradise is a trendy, fun and gorgeous venue with rooftop entertainment space and a large penthouse-level bar. There are several spaces to hire if you’re looking at holding your next big milestone or corporate event. We were lucky enough to be invited by one of our corporate clients who hired out the penthouse level 12 and photographed their party.
Complete with a beautifully styled bar with gorgeous white walls and gold shelving for all the liquor, it allows for an interesting space to photograph whilst providing ease of light sources, which is a key requirement for epic event photography. The white walls allow for the perfect opportunity to bounce flash around the room and get creative with our roaming photos.
Our client decided to have a Hawaiian-themed Christmas party and encouraged guests to put their best party-themed attire on and dance the night away.
Not only are the event spaces beautifully designed but your guests may wish to stay at the hotel, making this a great safe venue to ensure no drink driving occurs. Rooms start from $129 a night to $350. Check out their website for more info.
