Photographing an awards night and gala dinner at Brisbane Convention Centre is always a pleasure. When the sound and lighting guys get to work it really helps set the atmosphere for your corporate event, not to mention it helps our photos really pop.

The event we are showcasing today, our client stuck to the green and yellow theme this year which brings a different colour palette to their gala dinner and awards night.

Not every event photographer is equal, I know that’s a big statement but over the years that we have been doing this and hearing feedback from our clients from their past experiences with other photographers, we know our services and style is up there with the best corporate event photographers in Australia.

First and foremost, we photograph the room setup, often focusing on special details such as centrepieces and menus. Once the room is set and ready the next item is capturing full room shots with branding in the background. From here we then start our social event photography by roaming around the room and encouraging guests to pose for a photo. Often this is also called “Roaming Photographer or Photography”.

With over 10 years of our experience under our belts, we know it’s all about language and how you approach guests to ensure the highest yield possible. Often, if you ask guest “would you like a photo” they will say “no”. We don’t give them an option and that’s why our success rate is so high and so are the photos you receive.

Once the roaming photography finishes and the formalities start, we begin to document the lectern and any speeches and award presentations you might have on. We don’t just capture 1-2 photos, but we are constantly looking through the camera, searching for that perfect moment of Wendy, your CEO speaking, one that she would be proud of to use in internal and external marketing material.

Formalities conclude and we continue to roam the venue, looking for people to interact with and engage for more photos. The dance floor comes to life and the fun begins, we shoot fun and exciting dance floor photos as well as band shots.
