BRISBANE POWERHOUSE CHRISTMAS PARTY VENUE AND CORPORATE FUNCTIONS

It’s that time of year where many businesses start planning their annual corporate Christmas party to wrap up the year (pun intended).

Today we are showcasing a fun filled Christmas party held at the Brisbane Powerhouse at Watt Restaurant and bar. The client was delighted to have secured this venue as their location to hold a 200+ corporate event.

A couple tips to ensure your guests find it to their event on time to consume lots of delicious food and drinks:

Parking

Make sure you let your guests know there is limited parking directly out the front of the Powerhouse but they can also park in Newfarm Park. But, be warned sometimes it’s difficult to grab a park depending on what events are on at the Powerhouse. We highly recommend car pooling and even grabbing a taxi or City Cat if your home point isn’t too far away.

Timing of your event

Depending on the start time of your event, most people tend to be about 30 minutes late. Maybe it’s making sure they’re dressed to impress or perhaps the guys of the group need to fix their hair before bursting onto the scene and ready to party. Make sure you factor any formalities to be 1.5 hours to 2 hours after your starting time. This includes awards, speeches and entertainment.

Directions

The Powerhouse has a lot of different options when it comes to holding your event, so it’s a good idea to be clear on how to get to Watt restaurant or any other of the venues they offer. If you’re wanting to get to Watt, make sure you let your guests know it’s down the very back of the Powerhouse closest to the river.

Theme and Styling

To grab the most out of your corporate Christmas party it’s always good to have a theme and some styling. A few of our clients have gone for the “awkward Christmas” theme where their guests are encouraged to dress is Christmas sweaters, but as it’s Summer time in Brisbane during Christmas, we usually only recommend that for Christmas in July. Either way, your photos will pop with a bit more fun and excitement in the air.

We hope these tips help you in your journey of planning your work Christmas party. Don’t forget if you’re looking for a corporate event photographer to shoot through a quote request and we will get back to you on how we can help document your annual Christmas party.
